Are you ready? Are you trained?

Maine's Bureau of Labor Standards requires Rapid Intervention Teams at ALL building fires.  OSHA 1910.134(G)(4).

Introduction to RIT - The Role, Tools and Techniques

This 3-hour class discusses the who-what-where-why of Rapid Intervention Teams.  This program focuses on the needed preparation, in terms of SOP's, tools, additional training, and deployment models.

RIT - Operations Level

Deploying a RIT team may be the most important decision made on the fireground.  Seconds count and preparation matters. In this 2-day program we will review national statistics of the most likely scenarios of actual RIT deployments, then practice the hands-on skills necessary to get the job done.

RIT - Advanced Operations

The potential scenarios imaginable for RIT deployments are almost endless.  This 2-day hands-on program prepares your fire fighters for the less common, but more complex scenarios, that include large area search, structural collapse and disentanglement.

RIT - Examination of Case Studies and Scenarios

This 3-hour interactive program delivery looks at lessons learned from actual RIT deployments.  We discuss what worked well and what else may have worked, developing a Plan A, Plan B, and Plan C mentality.

RIT Team - Annual Refresher Training

The complex skills needed in high risk - low frequency situations are perishable skills.  Maintaining an annual refresher program is the the most effective means to ensure that your department is both trained and ready for their next RIT deployment. 1 or 2 day program options are available.

Managing the Mayday - Getting RIT Going

The clock is ticking... Is your RIT team ready to go? How does the IC manage the fire, the Mayday and the RIT team?  This interactive class discusses these challenges and some solutions to dealing with task overload and smart tactical delegation. 4-hour delivery.
